Our Story

The Jasmine Sickle Cell Warriors Foundation, Inc. was born on the 12th day of December 2016, a date etched with profound significance. This foundation carries the name Jasmine, a tribute infused with love and cherished memories, honoring the remarkable life of our founder's sister, Jasmine Rayvon Phillips. A vibrant and beautiful soul, Jasmine's brave battle with sickle cell came to an end on June 13th, 2014.

Despite the challenges and pain she endured, Jasmine embodied a tenacious spirit that refused to yield to sickness, inspiring all who knew her. At just 20 years old, she fearlessly pursued her dreams, becoming a cherished member of the renowned and award-winning step team, Envy-Us Steppers. Engaging in various other extracurricular activities, she proved that determination could overcome any adversity.

In Jasmine's heart, sickness was no deterrent; it was merely an obstacle to overcome. Her indomitable will and unwavering courage serve as the guiding light of The Jasmine Sickle Cell Warriors Foundation, Inc. Our mission is clear—to instill the same unwavering belief in the young warriors battling sickle cell, empowering them to overcome every challenge and pursue their dreams without hesitation.

We dedicate ourselves to nurturing the potential within each youth and young adult who crosses our path, investing in their growth, development, and future. Inspired by Jasmine's motto, "I have Sickle Cell; it doesn't have me," we aim to impart this empowering mindset to all those we touch, reminding them that their dreams are limitless, and their potential knows no bounds.
